Our name
Palm trees have developed adaptations that enable them to grow in the harshest climates and environmental conditions with everything from their flexible trunks, deep root systems, drought resistance, fiber structure, and ability to self-prune. Despite their resilience, palm trees can also be very vulnerable to extreme weather events or diseases. Proper care and maintenance are essential to ensure their long-term health and strength.
This is the perfect representation of scholars who are in need. Most of us are born with a natural inclination to strive and grow, but we can only be successful under the right circumstances. Students often face challenges and setbacks in their educational journey, but have the ability to persevere, adapt and bounce back from these difficulties. To thrive in a variety of environments, scholars need support, guidance, and mentorship.
Deep-rootedness represents the strong foundation of knowledge, skills, and values that our scholars will take with them throughout their educational journey. With continuous growth, pruning, and flexibility, students will continuously expand their knowledge, hone their skills and explore new areas of interest.
